Pneumonia is the single largest infectious cause of death in children under five worldwide. But with early detection, prompt care-seeking, and correct diagnosis, it is treatable. And with education, it can even be preventable.
To aid in earlier recognition and care seeking, the Diarrhea & Pneumonia Working Group has created the Every Breath Counts programme of educational kits for caregivers and multimedia training kits for frontline health workers.
These kits are easy to use and understand, align to the WHO/UNICEF iCCM pneumonia guidelines, and are extensively researched.
The Frontline Health Worker Kit and the Caregiver Kit are available in different languages, regional/cultural variations (African, African Muslim and South Asian), and can be further adapted to suit local needs. This means that your organisation can get on with the job of saving lives much faster and at a much lower cost.
