Minding the gap

A BMZ-UNICEF partnership for adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health and rights in Malawi

By the time they are 18, most girls in Malawi have three children, and the country’s HIV incidence for adolescents has remained worryingly high. This is why GIZ, on behalf of BMZ, and UNICEF jointly launched a programme to reach Malawi’s youths, including those who are HIV positive, with the information and services they need to know their HIV status, avoid unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
